Liebe Freunde, liebe Ordensgeschwister,
mit dem Segen des Weihnachtsfestes möchte ich mich an Euch alle wenden.
Ich denke auch intensiv an die, die einen Angehörigen im letzten Jahr verloren haben, die selbst oder deren Angehörige von schwerer Krankheit bedroht oder befallen sind und wünsche allen unter Ihnen, die Ihr in einer solchen Situation seid, Kraft und Mut.
Die Weihnachtsgeschichte steht für unseren festen Glauben, dass Rettung und Hilfe, Trost und Zuversicht nicht von einem erwarteten Starken, sondern aus der Hilflosigkeit eines armen Kindes für uns alle entstanden ist.
In diesem Sinne wünschen wir Ihnen ein gesegnetes Fest, Trost und Hoffnung und ein Vorgefühl für das unendliche Maß der Liebe unseres Gottes

Dear friends, dear brothers and sisters,
with the blessing of Christmas, I would like to address you all.
I also think intensely of those who have lost a loved one in the last year, who themselves or their relatives are threatened or affected by serious illness, and I wish strength and courage to all of you who are in such a situation.
The Christmas story stands for our firm belief that salvation and help, comfort and confidence did not come from an expected strongman, but from the helplessness of a poor child for all of us.
With this in mind, we wish you Merry Christmas, consolation and hope and a sense of anticipation for the infinite measure of our God’s love.
